Bergamot Essential Oil is well-regarded for its anti-anxiety effects while alleviating stress and tension. Think calm and relaxed. A natural astringent, Bergamot will help clarify the hair and skin of excess oil. Bergamot is gentle on the skin’s barrier and may be beneficial for those suffering from acne, eczema and psoriasis. Bergamot Oil is also said to stimulate the digestive system.
The Oil of Acceptance
Positive Properties:
 Self-acceptance, optimism, confidence, hopeful, lovable, worthy
Blends well with: Lavender, Geranium and Ylang Ylang Essential Oils
Extraction Method Cold Pressed
Bergamot is a hybrid of sour orange and lemon. The fruit of the tree – botanical name: Citrus bergamia –– is primarily used for its Essential Oil, which is extracted from the rind. Historically, bergamot juice was used to treat parasitic infections, while the Essential Oil itself was engaged as an antiseptic and antipyretic (anti-fever) agent.
 
Rosemary Essential Oil is well-reputed for the strength and power of its fragrance and is known to clear the mind and boost memory. It may also stimulate cognition, alertness and focus. The Oil is used as a natural tonic to improve hair and scalp condition and encourage hair growth.  Rosemary’s naturally astringent nature is also often used to help tone and tighten skin. Steam inhalation may help to open the lungs and assist with colds and respiratory conditions.
The Oil of Knowledge & Transition
Positive Properties: Mental clarity, knowledge, inspiration, trust

Blends well with: Cinnamon Leaf, Lemon, Lavender and Peppermint Essential Oils. Extraction Method Steam Distillation
The rosemary plant –– botanical name: Rosmarinus officinalis –– was used historically as a cooking herb. Rosemary was also a feature in early religious festivals and ceremonies and was even worn around the head to enhance mind-sharpening and memory-improving capabilities. In Egypt, the plant and its Oil extracts were burned for incense.
 
Lavender Essential Oil is loved and used for cosmetic, medicinal and aromatic purposes. The Oil is known for its calming and soothing properties and may alleviate symptoms of insomnia, stress, anxiety and tension. It is known to be antiseptic, anti-inflammatory and anti-fungal; which, in skin and scalp care, can sooth dry and irritated areas. Lavender Oil’s relaxing properties may also help to relieve respiratory conditions.
The Oil of Communication

The Oil extracted from the lavender plant –– botanical name: Lavandula angustifolia –– is arguably the most popular of all the essential oils. Lavender Oil’s applications are vast. Peppermint Essential Oil: Refreshing and revitalising, Peppermint Oil’s functions are beneficial in reducing inflammation, headaches and muscle aches. The Menthol component is sharp and stimulating and may aid respiratory ailments. Peppermint Oil can promote circulation when added to a fragrance-free shampoo or used in massage and will leave a cool sensation on the skin. Inhalation is also believed to quell digestive issues such as nausea.
The Oil of a Buoyant Heart
Positive properties:
 Renewed, energised, uplifted, mental clarity.

Blends well with: Pink Grapefruit, Lavender, Lemon, Lime, Geranium and Rosemary Essential Oils
This Essential Oil is extracted from the perennial peppermint herb –– botanical name: Mentha piperita. It is considered a hybrid of spearmint and water mint and has an identifiable history in which peppermint is featured as a medicinal treatment. Today, the Essential Oil is used in culinary, cosmetic and aromatherapy contexts. Extraction Method Cold Pressed
 
Cinnamon Leaf Essential Oil provides a woody, musky aroma and is used in aromatherapy to boost feelings of support, clarity and renewed energy. The Oil can be used in massage to soothe sore muscles and joints and may also help to relieve tension. It is reputed to soothe and nourish the skin and may alleviate inflammation. Cinnamon shampoo varieties may also improve dry scalp or dandruff, as well as enhancing hair growth.
The Oil of Harmony
Positive Properties:
 Self-acceptance, harmony, intimacy
Blends well with: Pink Grapefruit, Ylang Ylang and Patchouli Essential Oils
Cinnamon Essential Oil is extracted from the leaves of the ‘True Cinnamon’ tree –– botanical names: Cinnamomum zeylanicum or Cinnamomum vervun –– and is distilled from either the bark or the leaves. Cinnamon is one of the world’s oldest spices. In Middle-Ages Europe, it was a symbol of affluence and status, as only the upper class could afford stashes. Extraction Method Steam Distillation
 
Patchouli Essential Oil has a grounding and balancing effect on our emotions and nervous system. This oil can be used to ease stress and anxiety and promote calm, harmony and tranquillity. Patchouli Oil may also help to reduce the appearance of wrinkles, blemishes and imperfections while rejuvenating and revitalising the skin. It is likewise used in haircare as its antiseptic properties may be beneficial for mild scalp conditions.
The Oil of Physicality
Positive Properties: Grounding, contentment, balance, stability, presence, calm

The leaves of the bushy herb –– botanical name: Pogostemon cablin –– were originally cultivated in the East, where their aroma protected items (such as fabric) from insects. At the time it emerged, patchouli was also used to soothe dry skin and flaky scalp. Extraction Method Steam Distillation
 
Geranium Essential Oil is well known for its balancing effect and is therefore great for stabilising mood and nervous tension as well as neutralising the effects of ‘too much oil’ or ‘too much dryness’ in the hair and skin. Its anti-inflammatory properties may assist in soothing symptoms of menstruation and menopause. When used in massage, Geranium Oil soothes and may improve the appearance of the skin. 
The Oil of Love & Trust
Positive Properties:  Emotional healing, trusting, forgiving, gentle, loving, tolerant, openness

Blends well with: Patchouli, Lemon, Peppermint and Rosemary Essential Oils
Geraniums –– botanical name: Pelargonium graveolens –– originated in South Africa but are now cultivated all over the world. The Ancient Egyptians were first to distil the sweet-scented Oil from the plant in a quest for radiant skin and stress-free minds. Extraction Method Steam Distillation
 
Lemon Essential Oil: Rich in Vitamins A, B and C, Lemon Oil may function as an antioxidant and anti-inflammatory. Lemon Oil is thought to be a natural astringent and has many antiseptic and soothing capabilities. Diffusing Lemon Oil in an environment may improve cognition, alertness and focus. Lemon Oil may also relieve headaches and migraines, or mental exhaustion in general. Used to treat scrapes, cuts, wounds, and other minor abrasions.
The Oil of Focus

Lemons have been an intrinsic feature of Ayurvedic medicine for thousands of years. Botanical name: Citrus limon –– occurred purely for aesthetic purposes, but once the properties of the fruit were discovered, lemons were properly cultivated and their Oil extracted. Extraction Method Cold Pressed
 
Pink Grapefruit Essential Oil is reputed for its ability to uplift and revive the mind when diffused. It delivers a much-needed energy boost and may help ease symptoms of stress. When used in massage, the Oil is said to detoxify, help reduce fluid retention and improve the appearance of cellulite; its purifying properties promoting glowy, dewy and healthier-looking skin. The Oil of the Inner Child
Positive Properties – Freedom, playfulness, intuition, joy, acceptance
Blends well with: Bergamot, Lemongrass, Cinnamon Leaf and Lime Essential Oils
The name ‘Ylang Ylang’ means ‘wilderness’, a tribute to the expansive tropical rainforests in which the ylang ylang tree –– botanical name: Cananga odorata –– is found. The Essential Oil is distilled from the star-shaped flowers growing on this tree and has been an important feature of aromatherapy for centuries. Extraction Method Water Distillation

Lemongrass Essential Oil boasts a distinctive and earthy fragrance and is known to be an energising stimulant that may help to clear the mind and relieve nervous tension. It may also be used to uplift, promote hope and encourage self-esteem. Its antiseptic properties are beneficial in creams and other topical solutions to prevent infection. Purifying, toning and a natural astringent, Lemongrass may help clarify the hair and skin of excess oil. Given its shared characteristics with citronella, Lemongrass is also commonly used as an effective insect repellent.
The Oil of Cleansing

Lemongrass Essential Oil is extracted from grasses –– botanical name: Cymbopogon flexuosus –– native to Africa, Southeast Asia and Australia. It serves many purposes in cooking, aromatherapy and medicine. Lime Essential Oil is a reputed mood booster and may relieve mental fatigue and exhaustion. Lime Oil’s inspiring fragrance may help you gain clarity and renew your focus This Oil’s astringent / toning nature makes for a purifying cleanser for skin and hair that is prone to oiliness.
The Oil of Zest for Life
Positive Properties: Courage, emotional safety, engaged, revitalized, determined, elevated.

Lime Oil is extracted from the peel of fresh lime (botanical name: Citrus aurantifolia) by means of cold pressing, which calls for unripe, dark green fruits, as opposed to their ripe, yellow/green counterparts. Lime Oil’s roots can be traced to Southeast Asia pre–10th century, where it was used as an early antiseptic agent. Extraction Method Cold Pressed
 


Uses:
Diffusion: add a few drops to your diffuser for a calm and uplifting scent.
Topical: dilute with a carrier oil (almond, coconut, jojoba) before applying to skin.
Other: add a few drops to a washcloth and pop in the clothes dryer with garments/items. Add a few drops to an epsom salt bath. Incorporate in a steam facial.  Pop 1–2 drops onto your pillowcase, or to soles of feet before bed, to enhance sleep quality. Add to water for a spray-bottle solution suitable for diffusing in areas that require a freshen-up.


Add a few drops to EverEscents fragrance-free shampoo, conditioner or treatment.

Keep out of reach of children. Store below 30°C. Not for internal use. For aromatic or topical use. Avoid sunlight for 12-24 hours after topical use due to increased sensitivity to sunlight.
